My favorite holiday is the fourth of july because it is the day to celebrate America. It is in the middle of summer so i never have to worry about school and the weather is sunny and warm. I'm very patriotic and the nationalistic pride shown on Fourth of July weekend is the best time of year to relax and be proud of our country. I usually just barbeque with my parents and sister. our neighbors have a party and we go have a huge feast. Afterwards we all set of fireworks and watch the Herndon fireworks show. It is just nice to feel truly proud to be an AMerican on that day.

Avatar People was drawn by Joe Heller in the Green Bay Press on Dcember 19, 2009. The cartoon deals with the people suffering from no healty crae in the winter cold, and tries to show that the government should pass the bill as soon as possible to allow the less fortunate to gain health care. I agree that it should eb passed, but in good time, because if problems occur then our haste will have consequences. the comparison to Avatar is a little over the top.

The debate over religious displays on public property is stupid. People need to shut up and worry about things that matter, like health care and Iraq. My dad, grandparents, aunt, and I are jewish. I couldn't care less to see a nativity scene anywhere. It is nice to know that those people are true enough to their beliefs to put one up. It is a free country and as long as illegal immigrants can stand in front of 7-11 and Home Depot then when i see a gib Santa balloon in front of a town hall or something, i should be allowed to put an inflatable dreidel right next to him without anyone freaking out, life is too short to complaion about that, it isn't hurting you so shut up.

Health Care Lights was drawn by Nate Beeler and published in the Washington Examiner on December 11, 2009. The cartoon deals with the health care reform bill currently being discussed in congress and it is trying to construe the message that democrats are satisfied with the bill being created and passing in the house. I agree with the cartoon because the bill is much too complicated to not iron out th eproblems. The bill may work but only if the policymakers can examine each and every clause until all of the possible problems that may arise are ixed and accountd for.
